Robin Hood Energy recognised for helping local people reduce their fuel bills

Robin Hood energy, a not-for profit company set up by Nottingham City Council is taking on the Big Six energy companies to help the poor heat their homes.

Instead of raking in massive profits from the sale of gas and electricity, Robin Hood Energy buys electricity from the National Grid and sells it on at a reasonable price.

In England alone, more than 2.3 million families are classified as ‘living in fuel poverty’ – a shocking one in 10 households – rising to about one in five for those renting from private landlords. Robin Hood Energy is working to defeat fuel poverty, not just in Nottingham but across the country.
